In February 2012 a Santa Fe County asphalt contractor by the same name was indicted on felony charges for bribery, fraud and racketeering. According to the charges, Advantage Asphalt of Santa Fe, New Mexico intentionally over billed Santa Fe County for services and construction projects provided to the county. The company and other city officials have been accused of conspiracy to steal more than 1 million dollars from tax payers.
