Nationwide Increase in Asphalt Paving Scams

The Better Business Bureau recently released a warning to consumers about a nationwide increase in asphalt paving scams. Scammers go door-to-door offering cheap paving services, claiming to have extra materials from a previous job. The services they deliver are subpar, resulting in sagging, ruts, erosion, cracks, and flaking edges. Worst of all, these subpar services end up costing the victim thousands of dollars. For more information about how to recognize the warning signs of asphalt paving scams, visit the Better Business Bureau website.

When hiring an asphalt paving contractor, always verify the contractor license on the California Department of Consumer Affairs Contractors State License Board (CSLB) website.
